Oats breakfast recipe, which I’m in LOVE with…
For quite some time I’m already addicted to this breakfast. It makes me feel good, reloads my carb storages as well as my protein storages and gives me a great start into my day.
I always feel energized and ready for my day after eating my oatmeal.
This is my current favorite oats breakfast recipe for one person.
- 50 gram organic oats from Demeter (of course you can eat more than 50 gram)
- 70 gram of frozen or fresh raspberries (great antioxidant source)
- 10 gram of hemp flour (-> great protein source)
- 10 gram of ground flaxseeds (good for your digestion)
- 10 gram of ecological, chopped almonds (protein and fat source)
- Half a banana or 2 dates chopped
- Hot water
- 10 gram of almond butter (the only ingredients should be almonds)
Step-by-step:
- Put the oats, the raspberries, the hemp flour, the flaxseeds, the almonds and the banana/ dates into a bowl and mix it with a spoon.
- Then boil water and add it in the bowl until it is like a mash, so there is no water left over. (depending on if you prefer a very liquid or a mashed consistence)
- After mixing the whole muesli with a spoon. Add the almond butter all over the muesli and enjoy it ?
Most probably it sounds quite weird eating muesli with hot water rather than with milk.
But trust me it feels and tastes very good because you can taste each ingredient more than with milk.
Another benefit of the warm water is that it is a comfortable start for your whole body, system and it helps your digestion.
